I am committed to putting our local communities first so that we can secure the future prosperity of our region.
Luke O’Sullivan was born and raised in the Mallee, in Patchewollock, where his family ran a grazing and cropping farm. His country upbringing means that he has a deep understanding of and a common sense approach to issues that are important to regional and rural people.
Luke has long been intricately involved with The Nationals. He served as the state director of the National Party for six years, going on to become the chief of staff to Peter Walsh when he was the Minister for Agriculture and Food Security and Minister for Water. He has since served as Peter’s chief of staff when he became Leader of The Nationals.
Luke also has considerable corporate experience having worked for Tattersalls and the Westpac bank. He also worked for the Distilled Spirits Industry Council of Australia.
He has also worked on a number of campaigns for The Nationals, including campaigning for both State and Federal seats.
Luke is a passionate advocate for the improvement of regional infrastructure, such as country roads, agriculture and securing water for local regions.
